At its outer entrance stands the Buddhist stupa with the figures of a meditating Buddha set in niches, which indicates the evidence that certain principles of Buddhist faith were adopted by the Hindus.

You then continue your panoramic climbing drive to the main pass of central mountain range which offers a stunning lookout point over Lake Butan and inhabited by small clusters of monkeys.

Continuing with a light trek for about 15 minutes brings you to the magnificent twin waterfalls of Gitgit with a chance to swim right underneath the roaring cascades for an unforgettable dip!
