Pemuteran and Menjangan

Pemuteran and Menjangan are located in the west of Bali. Menjangan Island is part of the West Bali National Park, a pristine nature reserve covering  780 km². Menjangan offers you the unique opportunity to scuba dive on a vertical rock wall teeming with huge gorgonians and black corals. Here, you can witness amazing underwater life such as sharks, turtles, giant sea cucumbers, eel gardens, giant triggerfish, and stingrays. Explore the fantastic 15m Kapal Budak wreck which boasts up to 60 m visibility in season.

Menjangan

Bat Cave

Depth 6-30 Meters

A colourful soft and hard coral wall at the beginning and deep slope at the end. Great for tropical fish, coral, and interesting macros such as nudibranch, pygmy seahorses, and orangutan crabs.

POS II

Depth 5-25 Meters

POS II is located off the southern coast of Menjangan Island. Featuring a drop-off with two walls sprinkled with small caves. Manta rays, barracudas, and sharks are seen here on occasion.

Anchor Wreck/Kapal Budak

Depth 25-40 Meters

The Budak wreck dive site on Menjangan Island is an old wooden boat from the 19th century. Your dive starts at the anchor around 8 m deep – you then follow the chain down to 33 m and find the dark, wooden wreck on the sandy seabed. On the wreck, you will encounter a nice array of marine life – huge schools of yellow-stripe snappers and white-tip reef sharks.

Temple Garden

Depth 15-30 Meters

Built as one of three BRF/AusAid-funded projects, this spooky dive site consists of a small temple complex starting at 30m and works its way back to Temple Wall. Take in the sight of the otherworldly statues of Buddha, Ganesha and turtles abound, behind an ornate Balinese gateway. Behind the central statue is a little bommie with Buddha heads covered in cleaner-shrimp. Then, at 15m you come to an area of plinths and statue heads sitting in communion.

Close Encounter

Depth 5-30 Meters

A pretty coral garden with gorgonian fans, table corals, and some fascinating macro life, this beautiful site also offers you the chance to see sweetlips, batfish, moray eels, and a stunning array of other tropical fish.
