Safety, Booking & Cancellation Policy

Safety

The safety of our guests and staff is our highest priority.

Every dive trip is planned according to the conditions on the day. We carefully select dive sites that offer the safest and most enjoyable experience for our guests.

Some of Bali’s most famous dive sites, including Manta Point, Manta Bay and Crystal Bay, are highly dependent on ocean conditions. Located on the southern side of Nusa Penida, these sites are more exposed to swell, surge and strong currents than other areas around the island. While we can usually anticipate general conditions several days in advance, ocean conditions can change quickly. If a planned dive site is considered unsafe, we will choose an alternative site with better conditions.

Rain or cloudy weather does not normally affect our dive trips, and we do not cancel trips because of poor weather alone. Trips are only cancelled if local authorities issue an official weather warning or port closure that prevents boats from operating safely. In this case, you may choose to reschedule your trip or receive a full refund.

With many years of experience diving around Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan, we know how to adapt our plans to changing conditions and select the best available dive sites whenever possible.

Events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, floods, pandemics, government restrictions, acts of war and other force majeure events, may affect our ability to operate. In such circumstances, normal cancellation policies may not apply.

Please allow sufficient time between your final dive and your flight. Following internationally accepted diving safety guidelines, we recommend waiting at least 24 hours before flying after your last dive.

If you already have a flight booked, please let us know the departure time so we can help plan your diving schedule accordingly.

Booking

We recommend booking your fun dives, dive packages, and PADI courses in advance to secure your preferred dates.

Our booking process is quick and straightforward. Once your itinerary has been confirmed, we’ll send you a secure booking link where you can provide the information we need to prepare your equipment and organise your dives.

During the booking process, you’ll be asked to provide details such as your certification level, diving experience, equipment requirements, and any other information relevant to your trip.

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking.

Before making your payment, please read our Booking, Payment and Cancellation Policy carefully. By paying the required deposit, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.

Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your itinerary, meeting time, departure time, estimated duration of your activity, deposit received, and the remaining balance due.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change. This policy outlines the terms and conditions for cancellations and refunds for our diving trips and programs. Please read it carefully before making a booking.

Guest Cancellations

If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us as soon as possible.

The following refund policy applies to fun dives, snorkelling trips and other non-course activities:

  • More than 48 hours before your scheduled trip or programme: You will receive a full refund of your payment, excluding any bank transfer fees, payment processing fees or other transaction charges.
  • 48 hours or less before your scheduled trip or programme: No refund will be issued.

PADI Course Cancellations

If you need to cancel your PADI course, please notify us as early as possible.

The following policy applies:

  • 48 hours or more before the course start date: You will receive a 70% refund of the course fee, excluding any bank transfer fees, payment processing fees or other transaction charges. The remaining 30% is non-refundable and covers the cost of PADI course materials.
  • Less than 48 hours before the course start date, or if you are unable to complete the course after it has started: No refund will be provided.

Bad Weather Policy

The safety of our guests and crew is our highest priority.

Our bad weather policy is as follows:

  • Harbour Master (Syahbandar) Warning: If the Harbour Master issues a travel warning or port closure that prevents the trip from operating, you may choose to reschedule your trip (subject to availability) or receive a full refund, excluding any bank transfer fees, payment processing fees or other transaction charges.
  • Weather Conditions: While we understand that weather can affect your experience, rain, wind, waves and cloudy conditions do not automatically constitute grounds for rescheduling or a refund, provided the trip is deemed safe to operate by our experienced captain and dive team. When conditions make a particular dive site unsafe or unsuitable, we will select alternative dive sites or adjust the itinerary to provide the safest and best possible diving experience.

Certification Requirements

Activities that require a recognised scuba diving certification are available only to certified divers. It is the participant’s responsibility to provide valid proof of certification before any in-water activity.

Accepted proof of certification includes:

  • A physical or digital certification card issued by an internationally recognised training agency; or
  • A diver’s logbook showing the required certification with duly logged and verified dives.

Failure to provide valid proof of certification before the activity will be considered a cancellation of the booking.

Required Documentation

All participants must read, agree to and sign the required documentation before taking part in any in-water activity, as required by local regulations.

Failure or refusal to complete the required documentation before the activity will be considered a cancellation of the booking.

Swimming Ability

The ability to swim confidently and float in deep water is a mandatory requirement for all snorkelling activities and PADI diving courses.

Introductory programmes and entry-level PADI courses include a mandatory swim assessment conducted in our pool consisting of:

  • A 200-metre swim; and
  • A 10-minute float or tread water.

Participants who are unable to successfully complete the required swim assessment will not be able to continue with the course, and the booking will be considered cancelled.
